Washington Accord
Congratulations Engineers
The Washington Accord of International Engineering Alliance has approved an extension of PEC full signatory status for the next six years. This decision was made in the International Engineering Alliance Meeting (IEAM 2024) held on June 13, 2024, in New Delhi, India. The periodic review report of Pakistan Engineering Council, submitted by the Washington Accord (WA) Review Team, was considered for extension of PEC full signatory status of WA for the next six (6) years, which was unanimously approved.
PEC IT Day 2024 - A Milestone in Digital Transformation
On June 5th, 2024, Pakistan Engineering Council celebrated its IT Day Event to highlight the groundbreaking achievements in automation and digitalization. This year has already been declared as IT YEAR by visionary leadership of PEC, to sensitize and nurture the minds about technology adoption. Celebration of IT DAY in public sector reflects the visionary leadership of Chairman Muhammad Najeeb Haroon and the relentless efforts of Mr. Mubashar Ahmed, PMP, Senior Director IT at PEC.
The event was graced by ENGR. DR. NASIR MAHMOOD KHAN, Registrar PEC (PoP), and honored by chief guest, Dr. KHALID MAQBOOL SIDDIQUI, Federal Minister for Science & Technology. The event was also joined by other distinguished guests from public & private sector.
Pakistan Engineering Council Honored with ICC Global Award-2023
During UN COP28 Climate Conference on Dec 8 2023 in Dubai
International Code Council (ICC) honored Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) with the ICC Global Award-2023 during United Nations COP28 Climate Conference in Dubai on Friday, December 8th 2023. A four member PEC delegation led by its Chairman Engr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, Dr. Nasir Mahmood Khan, Registrar PEC, Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Convener PEC Technical Committee and Mr. Faiz ul Sibtain Secretary to Committee PEC/ Focal Person to ICC participated the event. “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council Engr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, who is also a member of the National Assembly, for the successful launch of the Pakistan Engineer Parliamentarians Caucus. It is delighted to hear that Senator Engr. Rukhsana Zuberi has been appointed as its first Convener, having previously served as the Chairperson of the Pakistan Engineering Council. She has proven to be an exceptionally efficient and effective Senator.
On this momentous occasion, I would like to extend my felicitations to all the Engineers of Pakistan and our esteemed Engineer Parliamentarians. With the establishment of this Caucus, Insha’Allah I am confident that the Parliamentarian, in collaboration with this Caucus, will play their pivotal role in shaping policies for the betterment of Pakistan and fostering the engineering profession/sector in future.
